Snow Caves & Snow Ice Cream
A fabulous time was had by all today! The weather was warm and the snow was deep! Grant lead the construction of a snow cave with dedicated help many of the kids. We sacrificed 2 shovels but in the end the cave held 3 people! The snow was icy so our snow ice cream was more like snow cones. We had many snowball fights and some of us languished in the warm sun on our backs. Thanks to all the volunteers - Carmen, Guy, Sandra, Dan, Grant and Tarena! And thanks to a great bunch of kids from Place Bridge Academy and Manhattan Middle School! What a great time!
Winter is the best time to be outside! On this outing, we'll visit the Moffat Tunnel, East Portal area and snowshoe to a place where we can build snowcaves and snowtunnels. We'll also make hot chocolate and snow ice cream.
