Mission Wolf 2
Boulder ICO will visit Mission Wolf, a sanctuary for wolves in south-central Colorado. Participants will interact with the wolves and learn about their history, biology, folklore, lifestyle, and outlook for survival in the modern world. As a service outing, we will help with tasks around the sanctuary, such as preparing food, hauling firewood, and cleaning facilities. We will be camping in tents and preparing meals outside, so all participants must be prepared for the weather. Mission Wolf overlooks a beautiful and remote valley that lies between the Sangre de Christo and Wet mountain ranges. This is an experience not to be missed! The August trip will be primarily for youth from the elementary school agencies, with a few openings for middle school youth mentors.
